I en perfekt Berger terminliste har ingen samme farge i de 2 første eller 2 siste rundene.
Man skal kun ha samme farge 2 runder på rad en gang hver halvdel.
I tillegg kan man få samme farge 2 runder på rad i overgangen fra første til andre halvdel.

I lagidrett har ingen 2 hjemme- eller 2 bortekamper på rad i starten eller slutten.
Man skal kun ha 2 hjemme- eller 2 bortekamper på rad en gang hver halvdel.
I tillegg kan man få 2 hjemme- eller 2 bortekamper på rad i overgangen fra første til andre halvdel.

Spilleren eller laget med nr.1 må alltid møte et partallnr. som ikke er minst eller størst i 1.runde.
FIDE, Norges Sjakkforbund og Turneringsservice får feil, siden 1 møter største partall i 1.runde.

Hvis det er odde antall deltakere, så er det motstanderen til det høyeste tallet som har walk-over.
